Dulverton Parish Plan - Your Chance To Have Your Say
An opportunity for people living in the parish to influence the decision-makers!
In the spring of 2010 the Dulverton Parish Plan was drawn up. It represents the views of as many people as possible and can therefore guide these authorities* to make decisions which are in acord with the wishes of the people. It wil also provide the sound evidence needed to back up any funding applications for the future developemnt of the community.
The initial questionnaire was developed by the Dulverton Community Action Association, an independent body of volunteers from the parish who were keen to ensure that all people of Dulverton had their say in the future development of the town and parish. The report was distributed and the people of the parish were invided to an exhibition which was designed to show the results and hear further comments.
The resulting report contains the comments of Dulverton residents on what they want to see in the town, what they dont want to see and their ideas for the future.
*The decision makers for the parish of Dulverton are many. For example:- Town Council, District and County Councils, Police, Exmoor National Park, Transport Authorities, Health Authorities and Housing Associations.
