Recreation

The Council and Recreation.

The Town council has the power to acquire land for recreation grounds, public walks and open spaces. To manage and control them.
At the present time the council looks after two playgrounds and the sports field and pavillion.

The Park.

This playground was funded by grants, fund raising by the local children from the Middle school and a lot of hard work by Theresa Williams. It is a lovely place for the children to play. There are picnic benches and is located alongside the river

The sports field.

Home of Dulverton football and cricket clubs, the juniors train here and hold their soccer tournaments. You can book a game of tennis or squash. The sports pavillion has been revamped and you can go for a quiet drink after a game, although there is a membership scheme in place.
The sports pavillion revamp again took a lot of fund raising and again a lot of hard work. Man behind all this is Cllr: Bernard How.

Barnes Close.

Just a basic little playpark with a couple of swings, slides etc. Although moves are afoot to develop it.
